Beautiful pair of chairs designed by Allan Gould for Thayer Coggin in 1957. The original owners purchased them in 1958 or 59. It very uncommon to see vintage versions of these chairs and I have never seen another example of the armless chair. The thin body of the chair is where the eggshell name comes from, and while similar to some other scoop lounges of the period that thin profile makes these very unique. The frame and legs are beautiful solid walnut that has been completely restored. Seat height is 15".
