Bent Plywood Thaden Jordan Dining Set

Rare dining set designed by Herbert Von Thaden and produced by Thaden Jordan Furniture Corporation, USA, early 1950s. The table extends with one 14″ leaf. The chairs are a very hard to find model, that I personally think are more comfortable than the all wood chairs Thaden Jordan produced. This set is all original with light age appropriate wear. The fabric is a newer fun modern pattern.

Based in Roanoke, Virginia, the Thaden-Jordan Furniture Corporation grew out of the industrial designer Herbert Von Thaden’s experiments with plywood during World War II and Donald Lewis Jordan’s expertise from manufacturing airplane parts. Operating from 1946 to 1951, the firm produced several noteworthy chair designs, including the renowned high-back recliner. Thaden-Jordan pieces were produced in limited quantities, making them collectible today.

Table measures 58″ long x 35.5″ wide x 29″ tall
